1. Data controller
The controller of your personal data is AL Servicios Múltiples Profesionales y Logística, which operates under the trade name AL Services Logistics (“AL”), with its address at De donde fue Gallo y Villa, 110 varas al este, Chinandega, Nicaragua.
For any matter related to your personal data, you can write to us at [email protected].
2. Data we collect
We only process the data you voluntarily provide through our channels:
- Contact details: name, company, phone or WhatsApp number and email address.
- Details of your operation: origin and destination, type of goods, weight or volume, dates, transport mode, country of clearance and any other cargo or customs details you provide.
- Messages and documents: the content of your conversations with ADU (our AI assistant), of the quote forms, and of the messages, files or documents you send us by WhatsApp or email (for example, invoices, packing lists, bills of lading or air waybills, certificates or permits).
- Tracking codes: the reference you enter to check the status of a shipment or customs entry.
- Minimal technical data: as with any website, our hosting and security providers process your IP address, browser type and the date and time of access in order to deliver the page and protect it against abuse.
We do not ask for sensitive data (health, religion, political opinions, etc.), passwords or card details. Please do not include them in the chat or in the forms.
3. How we use your data
- To answer your inquiries and provide guidance on imports, exports, customs and logistics.
- To prepare and send you quotes and service proposals.
- To manage the services you hire: transport, coordination of customs services, documents, permits, tracking and delivery.
- To contact you about your request through the channel you chose (WhatsApp, phone or email) and, if you asked us to, to notify you about the Import course or the affiliate program.
- To improve the quality of our answers and of ADU, and to keep the website secure.
- To comply with applicable legal, customs and tax obligations.
We do not sell or rent your personal data, nor do we use it for third-party advertising.
4. Legal basis
We process your data with your consent, which you give when you write to us, use ADU or submit a form, and because it is necessary to handle your request and, where applicable, to perform the service you hired and meet legal obligations. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to [email protected], without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal.
5. Service providers and third parties involved
To run the website and provide our services, we use technology providers that process data on behalf of AL or as independent services, under their own policies:
| Provider | Purpose | Data |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Website hosting (Cloudflare Pages), content delivery network and security; the service that connects the ADU chat to the AI (Cloudflare Workers) and a backup AI model (Cloudflare Workers AI). | Technical access data and ADU chat messages. |
| Google LLC | Google Gemini AI models that generate ADU's answers; website fonts (Google Fonts); office map (Google Maps, only if you click “View interactive map” or “Directions”). | ADU chat messages; technical data (IP address, browser) when the fonts or the map load. |
| FormSubmit | Email delivery to [email protected] of ADU conversations and of the requests you send from the chat. | Name, contact details, summary and content of the conversation. |
| WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) | Communication with AL when you choose to message us on WhatsApp; the website forms open WhatsApp with your message ready to send. | Your number, profile name, and the messages and files you send. |
| Zoho Mail (Zoho Corporation) | AL's corporate email, where we receive and answer your messages. | Emails, attachments and contact details. |
When you hire a service, we share the strictly necessary information and documents with those involved in your operation: licensed customs brokers and agencies in our partner network, carriers, shipping lines, airlines, warehouses, insurers, and the customs, health or tax authorities as required by law. We do so only to perform the service you requested.
6. International transfers
Some of the providers listed above store or process data on servers located outside Nicaragua, mainly in the United States and other countries where they operate data centers. In addition, due to the nature of international trade, your data and documents may be sent to the countries of origin, transit or destination of your cargo. By using our channels you consent to these transfers, which we carry out only to the extent necessary for the purposes described.
7. How long we keep your data
- Inquiries that do not become a service (chat, forms, WhatsApp or email): for as long as needed to handle and follow up on them, and no longer than two years from the last contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Clients: for the duration of the business relationship and, afterwards, for the periods required by commercial, tax and customs laws to keep the records of each operation.
- The ADU chat does not save the conversation in your browser: it disappears from your screen when you close or reload the page. If you send the conversation to our team, the copy received in our mailbox is kept as described above.
8. Your rights
You may request at any time access to your data, its correction if it is inaccurate, its cancellation or deletion, and you may object to its processing or withdraw your consent. Write to [email protected] with the subject “Rights over my personal data”, stating your name, the right you wish to exercise and a way to contact you. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity. We will reply within the time limits set by law.
These rights are recognized in Law No. 787, the Personal Data Protection Law of the Republic of Nicaragua (approved on March 21, 2012 and published in La Gaceta, Official Gazette No. 61, on March 29, 2012), which governs the processing of personal data in public and private files.
9. Cookies and browser storage
- AL does not use its own cookies, analytics tools, advertising or tracking on this website. Nor do we store information in your browser's local storage (localStorage or sessionStorage). The language switcher (ES | EN) is a simple link and does not store your choice.
- Our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) may use strictly necessary technical cookies to protect the website against attacks and automated traffic.
- Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives technical data from your browser (such as your IP address).
- The Google Maps map only loads if you click “View interactive map”; from then on Google may use its own cookies. The same applies when you open WhatsApp, Google Maps or the AL Mail login (Zoho), which are third-party sites with their own policies.
10. ADU assistant (artificial intelligence)
ADU is an automated assistant. The messages you type are sent, through our service on Cloudflare, to Google Gemini artificial intelligence models and, as a backup, to Cloudflare Workers AI, which generate the answer. Under those providers' terms, in particular those for free-of-charge use of the Gemini API, the content may be used by the provider to improve its services. For this reason, please do not type sensitive personal data, passwords, banking details or confidential information in the chat that is not needed for your question.
If you send at least two messages, or click “Send to our team”, the conversation is sent to AL's email so that an advisor can follow up with you.
Important: ADU's answers are for guidance only and do not constitute legal, customs or tax advice. Pre-assessments and calculations are estimates: the customs value, tariff classification and duties are determined by the customs authority. Figures mentioned in the chat are not AL prices or quotes. AL provides customs services through its network of allied customs agencies, whose licensed brokers file the declarations. See the Terms of Use.
11. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data: the website only works over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), the AI key is not published on the page, and access to our mailbox is restricted to the AL team. No system is completely infallible; if we detect an incident affecting your data, we will inform you as appropriate.
12. Minors
Our services are intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
13. Visitors from the European Union and the United States
European Union and European Economic Area: if you contact us from there, we process your data on the basis of your consent and of the pre-contractual steps you request (a quote). In addition to the rights listed above, you may request restriction of processing and data portability, and lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country.
United States: we do not sell personal data or share it for advertising based on your activity on other websites. If you live in a state with its own privacy laws, you may exercise the rights they grant you by writing to [email protected].
14. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice to reflect changes in our services or in the law. The current version will be published on this page with its update date.
